THE BORROWERS

PLOT:

Pod and Homily Clock and their 13-year-old daughter Arietty are "Borrowers"-little people, only 20cm. tall. They live under the floor and "borrow" things from the humans in the big house above them. The entrance t otheir home is undfer a grandfather clock -so they are called the "Clock" family. Life is comfortable, but a little boring...especially for Arietty. She wants to go into the big garden and explore. She wants to play with other children.
Then a human boy comes to live upstairs. It's dangerous for a borrower to meet a human...but lonely Arietty wants a friend. Is it possible?

1º ESO: REVISION

THERE IS, THERE ARE. PLACES IN TOWN. PLACE PREPOSITIONS

In this game you should write the missing words into the sentences to describe the picture on the right:

Look at the presentation below. Then write in your notebook the places there are and there aren't in your town.

And now, let's learn and practise the prepositions of place:

CONDITIONALS

Let's practice conditional sentences with songs!

- Listen to the songs and identify the conditional sentences in them:

1. ZERO CONDITIONAL: If + simple present / simple present
“If water freezes, it turns to ice.”

2. FIRST CONDITIONAL: If + simple present /  will + bare infinitive
“If it rains, I won’t go to the beach.”

3. SECOND CONDITIONAL: If + simple past / would + bare infinitive. (Note: “would” is often shortened to a contraction, such as I’d or she’d.)
"If I had a million dollars, I would buy you a house"

4. THIRD CONDITIONAL: If + had + past participle would  have + past participle. (Note: “would” and “have” are often shortened to a contraction, such as I would’ve.)
“If I had seen it, I would have told her.”

HERE you have more practice on Third Conditional.

And HERE you can practise them all.
